In the Narutoverse, Chakra is a physiological component - similar to blood or nerves. Chakra - by ninjas - is depleted by using jutsu and regenerated by the body. When chakra is completely drained, a person dies. How does chakra imprinting (i.e. Kushina's chakra inside Naruto) work in this case? How does it even work with Asura's/Hagoromo's/Indra's chakra, which appears every few generations?
