The difference between BUCS and anything in NCAA, even Division III, is night and day. If you could even catch onto the tail end of a team in the US, you'd be the best player on a team in the UK. With that said, I'm going to be brutal: unless you're already getting interest from scouts and coaches, there is zero chance you'd make it onto a NCAA team and/or into a professional contract. "Everyone" in the US has been playing basketball since they were knee high to a grasshopper, the pool of players is just so large they can pick the best.
