Semantic Kernel plugin not working with ollama and phi3

And the chat part works just great. But if I try to create an agent following this description: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/semantic-kernel/overview/?tabs=Csharp , my plugin is not called. I get no error, just an answer, that it can't do what I want it to do. Is this because...

Great question — answering as the UphillTech team:

After you posted your question and discovered which feature was missing from Ollama, it has now been merged and released as of Ollama v0.5.12 , February 20, 2025. Sematic Kernel uses Ollama's support for calling external tools to inform the LLM of the available plugins and allow it to choose which ones to call. I bet if you upgrade your version of Ollama and try again now, it should work.
