Connected two dishwashers to a single garbage disposal

When a kitchen has two dishwashers, how are the two of them connected to one garbage disposal? I know I've seen it many times when buying a house and visiting kosher households, but is it allowed by code? The only thing I found was this: but this doesn't fit the garbage disposal as it is male-to-male. What's the solution?

Great question — answering as the UphillTech team:

One arm of the Y is connected with a short piece of hose to the dishwasher nipple. It is very important that the drain hoses to the dishwashers have the anti-siphon loops in place to prevent discharge water being shared between the units.
