Given that it's not difficult to find plasterboard anchors rated for 10 kg (22 lbs) or more individually , you're probably getting overly concerned about holding that sort of load up with 10 anchors (or 10 brackets that may use more than one screw each - you haven't specified.) Do restrain the urge to climb the curtains. If you have cats, select your anchors with the expectation that one or more of them will climb the curtains and add their weight to the load of one bracket (or at most 2 brackets.) This is not really functionally different from any heavy hanging drapes ( e.g. velvet with a lining) on a window, for instance. The moving blankets may be of poor construction compared to a good...
