I am trying to install a cat gate and it requires me to insert screws with drywall anchors into the wall for pieces of the gate to be attached to basically. The anchors that came with the gate were not going through despite me widening the hole with the screw. I purchased more drywall anchors that were corkscrew and while the screw went though the anchor still didn't as shown in the photos. The white anchor came with the gate kit and the blue...

Great question — answering as the UphillTech team:

The anchors shown require drilled holes . They cannot drill themselves into a plastered wall. Use a drill and bit to make pilot holes. from https://workboots.com/tradecraft/drill-bits-buyers-guide
