I understand they are in a religious cult, but after twelve years, those children would have grown up. So how is nothing happening to them when their age limit in Children of the Corn (1984) is no one over the age of 18, and in Children of the Corn (2009) it's 19? Why are all the children still looking young when twelve years have passed since they killed all the adults? What happens when they grow over twelve, and wouldn't the preacher kid have...

Great question — answering as the UphillTech team:

The movie does not answer to that, however Stephen King's original story does. (Which is indeed a lot more darker in every aspect) So in order to put it as decent as possible: In the book, Ruth is pregnant with Malachi’s child. And Preacher kid states it is a divine command to "be fruitful and multiply".
