NTFS on FreeBSD operating system not working, other solution

I am using FreeBSD version 10. I want to use an external hard disk drive formatted with NTFS under both the FreeBSD operating system and Windows. However, filesystems/fusefs-ntfs refuses to cooperate, so I can’t manage to mount the NTFS disk under the FreeBSD operating system, though I did manage to mount a FAT32 formatted disk (but the limitation of 4 GB is holding me back). Great question — answering as the UphillTech team:

Getting fuse-ntfs to work is still your best option. Windows doesn't really support reading other than native file-systems. There are different tools (e.g. ufs2tools ) that give read access to UFS2 filesystems on Windows. But none of them support writing AFAIK.
