Great question — answering as the UphillTech team:
If a player moves teams mid-season, their Premier League goals for their old club still count towards the Golden Boot, along with their goals for their new club. In the 1992-93 season, for example, Teddy Sheringham scored one goal for Nottingham Forest and 21 goals for Tottenham Hotspur, while Eric Cantona scored six goals for Leeds United and nine goals for Manchester United. Their goals for both clubs were counted : Sheringham won the Golden Boot with 22 goals, and Cantona finished joint-seventh with 15 goals.
