Great question — answering as the UphillTech team:
pyodbc.drivers() just returns a list of driver names. To print them, you need to pass the names to print() . You can loop over the list to print each name individually: import pyodbc print("List of ODBC Drivers:") dlist = pyodbc.drivers() for drvr in dlist: print(drvr) print("End of List") Which outputs: List of ODBC Drivers: SQL Server QB SQL Anywhere Transoft 64 bit ODBC Driver PostgreSQL ODBC Driver(ANSI) PostgreSQL ODBC Driver(UNICODE) End of List
