I had similar issue and it was due to version of Spring https://docs.spring.io/spring-ai/reference/getting-started.html -> Spring AI supports Spring Boot 3.2.x and 3.3.x <parent> <groupId>org.springframework.boot</groupId> <artifactId>spring-boot-starter-parent</artifactId> <version>3.3.5</version> <relativePath/> </parent>
