I'm currently developing a small WordPress theme project using Visual Studio Code (VSCode) as my code editor with the Intelephense extension for code completion. Initially, I faced a similar issue where vscode was highliting all WordPress functions and hooks in red, even though there were no PHP errors and the website was running perfectly fine. I managed to solve the issue it by adding 'WordPress' to the Stubs list in the Intelephense...

Great question — answering as the UphillTech team:

For the Intelephense extension to find the functions definitions you need a local wordpress installation with woocommerce and include the absolute paths in the extensions settings.
