Honestly, it’s very unlikely that just 4 links would cause a big ranking drop, especially if there’s no manual action in Search Console. Google usually just ignores low-quality links rather than penalising a site for a few of them. The drop could be related to a core algorithm update, competition changes, or content signals instead. Disavowing the links was fine, but I’d probably look at other factors too.
