The confusing thing about Jeepers Creepers 3 (2017) is that, if it's set between the events of Jeepers Creepers 1 and Jeepers Creepers 2 , just when did Billy and Jack's dad get his heart ripped out by the Creeper? Because in #2 the dad beats the Creeper and hangs him up in his barn, and that scene closes 23 years later with him saying he's waiting for a day or so. So the timelines don't fit anywhere, unless the filmmakers decided to kill off...

The first movie came out in 2001 and takes place that same year. We know this because we're repeatedly told in the first three movies that the Creeper kills for 23 days during every 23rd Spring, and dialogue between Trisha and Darry Jenner around six minutes into the first movie establishes that two of the Creeper's previous victims, Kenny and Darla , went missing in 1978. Around 29 minutes into the movie, Darry discovers Kenny and Darla's bodies in the basement of an abandoned church , confirming that they were killed by the Creeper. TRISHA: God. You know what I just thought of, right? DARRY: Kenny and Darla? Trish, they died about a 100 miles from here. TRISHA: It's the same highway....
